Arriving in NYC

August 29, 2011

Lucky me! My 4 day trip to New York last week was gorgeously hot and sunny, ending the day before the city shutdown with the impending hurricane! I have been reviewing the plethora of pictures I took and it’s quite apparent there is no way I can post all my photos (even when paired down) in one post. So these pics are some of the highlights of our first day.

Starting with where the bus from Newark airport dropped us off in front of Grand Central Station…

Then checking into the adorable studio apartment we rented from the wicked website AirBnB.com (this is a must check-out before traveling anywhere for finding super cheap accommodation!)

Snapped some pics of the views from the apartment’s roof top… authentic NY!

We soon ventured down to the MMoMA, where I took waaaaaay too many pictures. I will have to write a separate post for that. After the MMoMA we took a long walk down 5th Ave. to see the Flatiron Building…

We then hung out at the nearby pub, Dewey’s Flatiron, until we felt our lids getting heavy. We cabbed back up to our East Harlem studio to recharge for the next fun-filled day!
